When I started sculpting in wood its age rings made me create soft round forms, erotic in nature. These sculptures were androgynous. Others in which stone and wood were combined bore more angular contours. Mutual effects of both of these types juxtaposed rough and smooth, light and dark to bring about a harmonious sculpture outlined by the space which surrounds it. Close Window
