Most of the stone sculptures emerged from the observation of configurations in Nature.
The wooden sculptures were an expression of the innate eroticism of this material.
I chiseled the stone according to its innate flowing sinews and, with the wood, my hand was directed by its rings of age. In both mediums, the shaping of the form and surrounding negative space are vitally important, contrasting light and dark, rough and smooth and, sometimes, stone and wood.
