Every large sculpture is born out of a small model. A person - according to scale naturally - is positioned beside the model. The plan, model and any relevant detail are presented to the committee that decides whether the large sculpture should be made. The planning and erection process in the park for “Nehama the Louse”– a story based on Meir Shalev’s book, took a year.
The environmental project for the Herzeliya Museum also took a long time, the actual work in the field taking 6 weeks.
Some models remained in the studio in their original size and were never executed on a large scale, such as the “rhythm in iron” sculptures that were intended to be positioned at a distance of several meters from each other on a high promenade above the sea. As the spectator walks, the sight is magically revealed to him through rhythmic spaces between vertical lines.
