Traditional sculpture and the world of Readymades are shown here together.
These found objects were treated subjectively by me; all of them have known a previous existence but here they are enhanced by intertwining tangles. Some turbulences are industrial products while others are the creation of nature. Soft led lighting was used for some of the exhibits.
The name of each sculpture/object hints at the idea/concept that led to its design.
Exhibition curator, Arie Berkowitz, observes:
In recent years, Israela Hargil has engaged in the design of a conceptual product.
Her creative journey is based on a collection that is embedded in traditional
artistic design that combines Arte Povera with conceptual art and product design. There is no suggestion here of direct or immediate use, but her works challenge both, observers of the design world and lovers of traditional art.
